International Christian Writers Network

Sue Peel

Sue Peel, Network Coordinator

ICW Network links Christian writers, editors, and publishers through a worldwide e-mail network.

ICW NET is a bit different from most writers email lists. We are not a "push" type list, where information, articles, opportunities, etc. are pushed into your email box. Instead, we are a "pull" list. With ICW, you receive a membership list and you make contact with those who intrigue you or who have specific knowledge or backgrounds that have value to you ( like picking a pen pal). In other words, you will only get benefit from the membership if you reach out and pull the benefit from the list.

General Guidelines

The very nature of the ICW Network ensures exchange of information and ideas between members. Lively discussions from a variety of viewpoints may and should ensue. However, in case of disagreements and differences of opinion, rude, degrading, and offensive e-mails to individuals or any portion of the list will not be tolerated.

Our membership is private in that it is available only to other ICW NET members. Anyone using our membership list for any reason deemed inappropriate by our members will be unsubscribed. Spamming (unsolicited commercial e-mails), requesting money or goods, and matrimonial prospecting are unacceptable.

Although content of correspondence between members is not restricted, it is the desire and intent of ICW that such correspondence should be Christ-honoring and of a positive nature. Members should feel free to share their concerns and problems. However, striving to avoid excessive negativism, and "gripe sessions" will create more enjoyable correspondence and relationships.

In order to make the experience stress-free, please understand that, although joining the ICW Network indicates a desire to be contacted by other members, each member retains the right to respond to contact by any other member with a "not available at this time" email. This should not be taken as an affront, but simply as an efficient way for the member contacted to express a complicated schedule, a writing deadline or any of those myriad of things that just happen in our lives. There is no obligation on the contacted member to re-initiate contact once they become "available" again.
